Obituary for Kenneth Lewis Lindsey

NEWPORT, MAINE--
Rev. Kenneth L. Lindsey, age 97, formerly of Augusta, ME, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Pittsfield, ME following a brief illness. He was born in Dana, MA on September 29, 1924, a son of the late Lewis R. and Mattie E. (Stone) Lindsey.

He was a graduate of Barre High School, then enlisted in the US Army serving on D-Day in Normandy. He attended the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Kentucky.

Rev. Lindsey had been a Priest for over 40 years, serving in several Parishes in Maine and New Hampshire.

He was pre-deceased by his parents and half brothers.

Rev. Lindsey is survived by his son, Christopher Lindsey of Newport and his wife Debra; a grandson, Bryan and his wife Jennifer of Litchfield, Maine, and a granddaughter Teasa and her husband Dave Wilkens of Concord, New Hampshire, and seven great grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11am at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 900 Main St., Palmyra, ME 04965. Burial will be at a later date in Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, MA.
