Maranda Morgan Walker, 29 years old, passed away unexpectedly at Mid-Maine Medical Center surrounded by her friends and family on June 26, 2021.
Maranda was the daughter of Mark Walker and Susan Walker (Burdzel). She was born May 18, 1992, on a beautiful Maine spring day.
Maranda was a graduate of Cony High School and worked in the Restaurant Industry. She was a superior waitress at Applebee’s and had a gift for saving money and if you wanted to borrow any, you were signing a contract.
Maranda loved her family and spent any free time she had with them. Her favorite place to vacation was at Old Orchard Beach watching the waves and enjoying all the foods on the pier. She loved listening to music and gabbing on the phone. She considered her best friend to be her mother, Susan. Special time for Maranda was spent with her sister Brooke, Brother Bo, and her niece Bella and nephew Ian. She enjoyed taking walks at Tyler Pond with her best friend Chuk Carrigan and their dog Maddox.
Maranda loved with her beautiful contagious smile and mischievous twinkle in her eyes. Maranda touched so many lives and will forever be missed.
She is predeceased by her brother Bo Walker, maternal grandfather, Richard L Burdzel, Sr: Uncle Richard Burdzel Jr.: paternal grandparents Floyd “Bo” Walker and Rosemarie Weston.
Maranda is survived by her parents Susan M Walker (Burdzel) of Augusta and Mark Walker and his wife Deanna of Augusta: sister Brooke A Walker and her two children Izabella and Ian; four step siblings: Mandy Massey, Micole Moore, Stephen Moore and Matthew Moore; her maternal grandmother, Irene (Beaulieu) Burdzel; paternal grandmother Lena Walker; several aunts and uncles including Brenda and Bob Morrisette, Patsy and David Breton and Nancy and Jerry Lambert and her special friend, Chuk Carrigan.
Burial will be at Scribner Hill Cemetery at 143 Scribner Hill, Manchester, ME on July 17, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow.
