I knew Donald as a man who would say what he wanted to say, he was generous with his knowledge and experience. He was always sincere and very kind to me. A true Genuine man. I will miss him not only for myself but mostly for his daughter Cindy who loved him dearly. Cindy, thank you for introducing you to my second Dad.

I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I worked with him for a number of years at Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute and then when the name got changed, Kennebec Valley Technical College. As a matter of fact, he was on the interview committee when I was hired. Don had a lot to do with the electronics curriculum that is still followed to this day at KVCC. He was as good an electronics man as I ever worked with. There are several stories I could write about but there is one that sticks with me to this day. Don was a retired Air Force instructor so he relied a lot on that experience. One thing he would not tolerate was students being late for class. Apparently in the Air Force classes he taught the door would be locked at the time a class was supposed to start and would not be opened for a late student. Well, he did that same thing at KVVTI/KVTC and to this day when faculty members in our old department get together that story is always brought up because we can remember students knocking loudly on the door to get in and Don would just keep on teaching and ignore them completely.
