Kimberly Robbins, age 46, passed away on November 29, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 8, 1973, in Wareham, Massachusetts to Emery Allen Robbins III and Ida May Franklin. She graduated from Wareham High School in 1991 and continued her education at Cape Cod Community College where she studied nursing. Kimberly began working in the healthcare field at the age of 16 and continued as a CNA for most of her life. She resided in Wareham, MA until 2012 when she decided to move to Augusta, Maine with her children for a new start and to be with her sister, Angela.
Kimberly was always the person friends and family went to whenever they needed someone. To her, it didn’t matter if you were family or not, her door was always open if you needed a place to stay or a person to talk to. She worked hard and made sure everyone around her was taken care of. Kimberly was truly the glue that held her family together.
In 2013, Kimberly was diagnosed with colon cancer that led to a long, hard, and exhausting fight. After 6 long years her fight was over. Her family would like to extend a warm thank you to Doctor Richard Polkinghorn at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care for being an amazing doctor through all the trials and tribulations they went through in the past six years.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Shawn Robbins.
