I was so sad to hear of Don’s passing. I had the honor of working with him at the old Augusta District Court. He was a very special man - full of compassion, integrity and humor. He loved the many “families” he was a member of and we loved him. I had a chance to re-connect with him a few years ago at a graduation at the Academy and even though I had not seen him in years he was just the same and after we talked he made sure I found the officer I came to see graduate. Always selfless and concerned with others. We have lost a special man and Heaven has gained a special angel.
