A meeting was held quite far from Earth: "It's time again for another birth." said the Angels to the Lord Above, "This special child will need much love." Her progress may seem very slow, accomplishments she may not show and she'll require extra care from folks she meets way down there. She may not run or laugh or play, her thoughts may seem quite far away: In many ways she isn't adapt and she'll be known as handicapped. So let's be careful where she's sent we want her life to be content. Please, Lord, find the parents who will do a special job for you. They will not realize right away the leading role they're asked to play. But, with this child sent from above comes a stronger faith and richer love. And, soon they'll know the privilege given in caring for the Gift from Heaven. Their precious charge, so meek and mild is Heaven's Very Special Child.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you for your loss.  Losing our loved ones is very painful. While we are relieved that they are no longer suffering in sickness and pain, it still leaves us with a broken heart. Our heavenly Father assures us that our loved ones can and will live again. He hates death and views it as an enemy. He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. Job 14:14,15 John 5:28,29

We did not know Aimee but we had a Special Needs child who passed away in 2007. We are so sorry for your loss. Thank you for the beautiful poem we were very moved by it. Our Special Needs Daughter told us she was "a Child of God". and she was. Our thoughts are with you.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4). The Lord will wrap His arms of love and comfort around those who trust in Him. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble” (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). Comforting you is God’s specialty. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). Lean on God and allow Him to continue the process of healing your broken heart. May you be comforted. May we all be comforted. Dana Dean
