Obituary for Todd Johnson

Todd Johnson
MANCHESTER, MAINE
Todd Locke Johnson passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 at his home in Manchester, Maine. The son of Joseph D. Johnson and Nancy Locke Johnson, Todd was born December 12, 1945 in Augusta, Maine, but moved to Winter Park, Florida as a small child.
Todd graduated from Winter Park High School in 1964 where he was a star football and baseball player. He went on to receive his degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In June of 1967, he married Elsie Frances Tibbs of Orlando and after college they returned to Orlando where Todd worked for CNA Insurance before joining the family insurance and surety bond agency, Johnson & Company, where he became President. He was a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Central Florida, the Florida Surety Association, and the Florida Transportation Builders Association.
An avid golfer, he was a member of The Orlando County Club, Interlachen Country Club, Secession Golf Club in Beaufort, South Carolina, and the Augusta Country Club in Manchester, Maine. He was also a long time member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Winter Park, Florida. Though an avid traveler, he loved nothing more than relaxing on his deck overlooking Lake Cobbosseecontee in Maine. To his family, friends, and colleagues, he will be remembered for his infectious laugh and his generosity.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elise Tibbs Johnson, and his sister, Judith Johnson Duval.
Survivors include sons Todd Locke Johnson, Jr. and Christopher Rice Johnson and his wife Kathleen; granddaughters: Elyese Michaele Johnson, Alexandra Elsie Johnson, and Adelie Kathryn Johnson; his brother, Joseph Daniel (Danny) Johnson, Jr. and his wife Kathy, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving longtime companion Ramona Ferran.
A private family memorial will be held in Manchester, Maine in July.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME.
