Norman E. Polley, age 77, died Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Lewiston, ME on July 13, 1940 a son of the late Herbert and Hazel (Douglas) Polley.
Mr. Polley was a graduate of Edward Little High School and was a member of the South Gardiner Baptist Church.
He had been employed for the State of Maine, Department of Transportation for 33 years.
Mr. Polley is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine E. (Ward) Polley; a son, Jim Polley, a daughter, Wanda Pynchon; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Kennebec Kidney Center and to Androscoggin Hospice for the care and compassion they showed to Norman and the family during his time in their care.
At his request, there will be no public visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 21st at 2 PM in Mt. Hope Cemetery, South Gardiner, ME.
