Theresa Croteau (Boucher)
Theresa Croteau - age 89, of Cony Street, and formerly of 12 Chase Avenue, died March 8, 2018 at Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation after a brief illness. She was born in Augusta, ME on Jan. 5, 1929 the daughter of Lewis Boucher and Clarice (Dupuis) Boucher.
Theresa was a graduate of Cony High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 22 years by Central Maine Power Co.. She was previously employed for several years by Bates Manufacturing Co. In retirement she spent 17 glorious seasons at the family summer home in Rockwood on the shores of Moosehead Lake. She spent her time at camp tending her flower gardens and quilting. She especially enjoyed the spirited card games in the evening with friends and family where her quick wit was evident. Winters she returned to Chase Avenue where she continued her prodigious quilting, completing hundreds of them over this period. She took great joy in gifting them to friends and family.
Theresa was a member of St. Michael Parish and the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
Her husband. Arthur L. Croteau, predeceased her, as did her parents.
Surviving are two sons: Daniel J. Croteau and wife Carol of Biddeford, ME and Paul K. Croteau and wife Nancy of Augusta, ME; 3 grandchildren: Raymond Croteau and wife Maggie, Jennifer Haley and husband Troy and Zachary Croteau; 6 great-grandchildren: Billy, Maddie, Mary and Katie Croteau, and Wyatt and Cole Haley.
There are no public visiting hours scheduled. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday March 12, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Ave., Augusta, ME. Spring burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.
