She was born in Augusta, ME on Nov. 20, 1947, the daughter of Roland F. Veilleux and Constance (LeClair) Veilleux.

Gail and her husband, Pat, would have been married 50 years in November. They met on a blind date, were engaged 3 days later, and married shortly after that. After the wedding, Pat took his wife to Germany, where he was stationed in the Army. As usual with Gail, she made many friends while her husband was stationed there. Many are still close friends, today. Gail and her husband had many great adventures and road trips to Switzerland, Austria, Southern France, Monaco, and Italy.
When they came home from Germany, Gail devoted herself to her to her children, being a stay-at-home mom until the last child was in school. She then went to work at the University of Maine at Augusta where she continually climbed the ladder ending up as assistant to the Provost. She took a lot of pride in her work at UMA and loved her job. She retired after 37 years, leaving behind many good friends, as she did wherever she went.
Gail liked to collect pretty rocks while on her road trips throughout this beautiful state. She and her husband spent countless hours traveling all over the state. She enjoyed geocaching with her husband and continued this pastime until she became too sick to do so. Gail also loved birds, and throughout her illness, she spent hours watching them. She had numerous bird feeders outside her window and they provided much entertainment to her.
