Kenneth R. Bonsant - age 84, of Cecile Avenue, formerly of Old Belgrade Road, died Feb. 22, 2018 at Patriot Place at the Veterans Center at Togus after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
He was born in Augusta, Maine on June 12, 1933 the son of Ludger Bonsant and Lucie (Thibodeau) Bonsant.
Ken served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he was self-employed as a mason for 40 years.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 887 of Augusta.
He was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Odette (Gosselin) Bonsant, who died in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Gray and her husband Steven of Jetersville, VA and Kim Bonsant of Augusta, ME; two grandchildren: Jeremy Haley of Anchorage, AK and Crystal Blair of Augusta, ME; and several nieces and nephews; special long-term friends Mike & Pam Burton.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday Feb. 27th from 6-8 PM at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. Burial will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the Spring of 2018.
