He attended Fairfield schools, earning his GED in the U.S. Army while stationed in Korea at the end of the war. Ron was able to see much of the world and the United States during his three years in the Army. After returning home, Ron became a certified automobile mechanic. Annual trips to Laconia, NH for Motorcycle Week and Daytona Beach, FL for the Daytona 500 were well earned vacations. Ron shared a love of golf with his oldest son, Wayne. They could be seen on local courses with friends throughout the spring and summer. Ron returned to Connecticut for visits every year to see family and friends. Ronald was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a NY Yankees fan and a member of the Palermo American Legion.
