Obituary for Julie Anne Taylor (Taylor)
Julie Anne Taylor - age 60, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center at Gray Birch Drive, following a long illness. She was born in Lewiston, ME on February 18, 1957 a daughter of Robert P. Taylor and Pauline “Polly” DeBlois.
She was a graduate of Baxter School for the Deaf.
Ms. Taylor had been employed by Motel 8, Slates Restaurant, Arlene’s Bakery and Goodwill.
Julie had a special love for animals and kept several cats. She enjoyed skiing especially when accompanying her father. She loved being in her trailer on Sparrow Drive and inviting friends especially her special friend, Bruce Letho, to visit where they could use her video-phone to talk to other friends throughout the State. During her high school years, she looked forward to summer vacation for her cousin Norma Wells to come stay with the family. Caroline Fairservice was a continual help to Julie in whatever she needed.
She is survived by her parents: Robert P. Taylor of North Monmouth and Polly DeBlois and her husband Larry of Augusta; a brother, Craig Taylor of California; two sisters: Terry Sanborn of Augusta and Lisa Plourd of Belgrade as well as a niece, Diana and a nephew, Bobby.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and CNA’s at Gray Birch for their devoted care and attention to Julie’s every need and to praise them for learning sign language and the needs of the deaf in order to serve her better.
At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 13th at 2 PM at the East Readfield Cemetery, Readfield.
